There is a book launch for “You can’t kill the spirit” the inspirational story of the Women Against Pit Closures camps that were set up in 1993. This focuses on the camp at Houghton. The book launch is in Barnsley Civic .

South Yorkshire Freedom Riders 5th anniversary celebration 10.30 rally outside Barnsley interchange, 12 rally outside Sheffield train station. Messages of support to be read out can be sent to: email@example.com

May Day march and rally will take place, more details to follow. If your union or campaign group wants to have a speaker at the rally please get in touch. Sunday 5th May will see the music event May Day Festival of Solidarity with a great line up.
